We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Halloween Safety Tips from Poison Centers:
Before you go trick-or-treating:
1. Feed your children to help cut the urge to snack on the route.
2. Bring your own candy, so children won't eat unchecked treats.
After you return home:
3. Carefully check all treats before allowing your child to eat them.
4. Only eat candy from original, unopened and undamaged wrappers.
5. Throw away candy if wrappers are faded, torn, or show signs of re-wrapping.
6. When in doubt, throw it out!
7. To reach the poison experts 24 hours a day, call the Poison Help Hotline at 1-800-222-1222.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for November 21, 22, and 23. In order to schedule conferences, we will utilize the conference-scheduling program through HCPSS Connect. HCPSS Connect will open to schedule conferences on Monday, October 31 beginning at 9am. Parents will be able schedule conferences using this system through Friday, November 11 ending at 4pm.
Student Lunch Accounts
Please remember to check the lunch account(s) for your child(ren) periodically to make sure you have money on the account for them to purchase lunch. The program is set up to extend for a few lunches but you must pay back by putting money on the account as well as add enough money to continue purchasing lunch. The school no longer loans money to students to purchase lunch. Parents are responsible for providing a lunch or lunch money on their student account. Access My School Bucks account.
Changing Weather
These cooler nights and days have clearly let us know that fall is here! At this time of year, it is often difficult to decide how to dress for the weather. We will be going out to recess as much as possible, so please help us by having your child dress for the weather each day. A coat/jacket can help make recess more comfortable for our students. PLEASE LABEL YOUR STUDENT’S CLOTHING. Thank you for your help.
5th GRADE MUSICAL
Our 5th grade will be performing "Dear Edwina Jr." on November 16 & 17 at 6pm. All are welcome to attend. 5th grade students received information about purchasing show t-shirts this week. Please keep an eye out for that form and return it as soon as possible. Contact Ms. Loughry with any questions. We hope to see you there! See attached for more musical information.
