The week of December 5th - December 11th is National Computer Science Education Week. We are celebrating the Hour of Code along with more than 100 million learners in 180 countries! During this week, your child will be learning the basics of how to program a computer, a skill that is vital to our very digital world. Elkster is challenging our school to complete 2,500 hours of code between December 5th and December 11th. Every student will be completing up to one hour in their Instructional Technology and/or Library Media classes, but is encouraged to continue coding at home in order to reach that school goal.
See our EES Coding Website to access coding activities and apps: http://hourofcodeorg.weebly.com/ or go to your child’s Technology or Library Meida Canvas course and look for the Module called “Hour of Code 2022."
Please e-mail Mrs. Jen Wong (Jennifer_Wong@hcpss.org) or Mrs. Megan Tiralla (Megan_Tiralla@hcpss.org) if you have any questions. Happy coding!
